The City of Webster’s Finance Department is accepting applications for the position of Accounting Technician. The position provides support to the Finance department, and customers of the City. The main functions of this position include: Utility Billing, Cash Collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. Reconciliations with the General Ledger are completed with many of the job responsibilities. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required. The City will determine the relatedness of the experience.
- A High school Diploma or Equivalent.
- A valid Texas driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a Surety Bond. (Please note: A prior bankruptcy may prevent an individual from being eligible to obtain a bond.)
