The City of Webster is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Deputy City Secretary. The purpose of this position is to support the City Secretary and department activities including the duties of the Public Information Officer for the City.  This is accomplished by providing administrative support for City Secretary, City Manager, City Council, Commissions and Boards, preparing agendas, minutes and packets, and posting meeting notices and agendas.  Also assumes responsibilities of City Secretary and Early Voting Clerk in the absence of the City Secretary.  Assists City Secretary with preparation for city elections, coordinates purchasing activities, compiles and distributes press releases, provides crisis communication and maintains records and databases.  Other duties may include assisting with meeting preparations, processing and issuing permits, coordinating the budget, providing media relations training and interfacing with City employees and citizens.  This position provides direction to other employees.  This is a non-exempt position.
