The City of Webster’s Finance Department is now accepting applications for the Accounting Manager position. The purpose of this position is to ensure the financial sustainability of the City. This is accomplished by reviewing the work of accounting functions in the Finance Department.  Other responsibilities include serving as one of the City’s Investment Officers, initiating banking and investment transactions, administering payroll, overseeing cash management and investments, preparing internal and external reports, assisting in the annual budget process and facilitating the annual audit. Seeking mature individual capable of supervising the work of the accounting technicians. Good supervisory experience is a must, ability to handle complex personnel issues. 


Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Three to five years of governmental experience required, including management and supervisory responsibilities.
Must be able to obtain a Surety Bond. (Please note: A prior bankruptcy may prevent an individual from being eligible to obtain a bond.)
Incode software experience highly desired
•      Must be a mature individual capable of independent thinking
•      Must possess a strong attention to detail
