The City of Webster's Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic. The purpose of this position is to ensure that all City vehicles and motorized equipment are properly and safely operating. This is accomplished by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems, replacing defective or faulty parts and repairing equipment as needed. Other duties may include purchasing supplies for repairs and shop, maintaining all documentation and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
