The City of Webster's Community Development Department is accepting applications for the position of City Planner. This position provides professional planning and technical services related to planning, zoning, subdivision regulations, and general development. Coordinates functions of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and the presentation of planning information to City Council. Other duties may include responding to citizens' inquiries, maintaining professional knowledge, contributing to city-wide projects and interfacing with other city employees and citizens.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
Special Requirements:
Work requires functioning as a lead worker performing essentially the same work as those directed, and includes overseeing work quality, training, instructing, and scheduling work.
This is an Essential Services position and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster’s citizens.
