The City of Webster's Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter.
Webster is located on the southeast side of Houston, Texas with a population of approximately 12,000 permanent residents. While this number may seem small, our community has a daily influx of people who work and shop in our city, which brings our daily population up to 250,000.
Protects life and property by safely extinguishing fires and removing individuals from hazardous situations; assisting in fire prevention activities; involvement in other emergency and non-emergency situations, such as inspections, maintenance of equipment, and conducting other related duties.
Position requires the ability to stay calm under pressure. Attendance is an essential function of this position.
This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain on the job.
