The City of Webster's Finance Department is accepting applications for the position of Accounting Technician. This position provides support to the Finance Department, other City departments, and customers of the City. The main function of this position includes Utility Billing, Cash Collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. Reconciliations with the General Ledger are completed with many of the job responsibilities. This position does not provide general direction to other employees.

Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative or technical nature that may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Junior college, vocational, business, and technical or correspondence schools are likely sources.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required. The City will determine the relatedness of the experience.
- A High school Diploma or Equivalent.
- A valid Texas driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a Surety Bond. (Please note: A prior bankruptcy may prevent an individual from being eligible to obtain a bond.)
